Morosito
How a rumba band stopped depending on external platforms
Morosito has been fusing rumba rock, reggae and funk since 2010 from the Prosperitat neighbourhood in Barcelona, with two albums released and tours that took them on stage alongside Los Delinqüentes, Mártires del Compás and Jenny and the Mexicats. This case shows how their platform plays their music without depending on Spotify or any other external platform.

A band with over a decade on stage that needed its own platform online.
Morosito was born in 2010 in the Prosperitat neighbourhood of Barcelona, fusing rumba rock, reggae, funk and other influences. Their two albums, «El hilo invisible» (2014, Satélite K) and «Una historia en cada piel» (2017, Rocket Music), took them on tour across Spain and Europe, supporting Los Delinqüentes' Canijo de Jeréz and sharing bills with Mártires del Compás, D'Callaos, Willy Fuego, La Húngara and Jenny and the Mexicats.
The founding core —Javier Martínez (Javi Moro), José Luís Blanco (Sito) and Jaume Fité— has stayed intact over the years, adding collaborations with Muchachito Bombo Infierno, Chico Ocaña, Maribel La Canija and Queralt Lahoz. They needed a platform that represented that trajectory and let people listen to their music directly, without depending on Spotify or other external aggregators.
